Marino's Pizza & Restaurant was opened in 1970 by Mario and Anna Marino. Marino's is family owned and operated, and you will still find Mario making pizza most Friday nights. Every Marino's pizza is made by hand, with homemade sauce and fresh toppings. While the pizza is legendary, the menu boasts a range of tasty options from classics like chicken, veal or eggplant parmigiana and lasagna, to pasta and seafood dishes, chicken cacciatore or francaise, and hot or cold sandwiches. My family has gone to "Mario's" (aka Marino's) since before I was even born. I definitely took for granted the amazing pizza I got to eat on a regular basis. When I moved to Albany for college, I got used to the "pizza" that the other establishments serve throughout the capital district. I honestly forgot what REAL pizza tasted like. On a whim a few months ago I remembered "Mario's" and convinced my boyfriend to make the drive for dinner. He is now just as addicted as the rest of my family. He's had pizza all throughout the country, but says this is the best pizza he's ever had. Their pizza tastes exactly as amazing as I remember it.
